I am amazed, grateful and ecstatic that today is the 31st of December 2015. The year has gone by so quickly. I have learned and gained so much in 2015, and I aim to utilise all that knowledge in the coming year. I started this blog in 2015, made new friends and awoke to my purpose in this past year; for that, I am truly grateful. I am not usually a fan of resolutions, as they often tend to reveal selfish desires and are many times unmet. However, one thing I love about resolutions is the fact that they give you an opportunity to try something. It is an opportunity to reflect on things you could have done better in the year prior and improve on those things in the New Year.

2016 will be the year of the pursuit of God. My resolution for 2016 is to read the Bible, cover to cover twice. It sounds simple to many and may be a straightforward task to a few, yet I know that it is imperative that I do that in 2016. It will add to my Bible reading requirement on my 30 things to do before 30 list and will undoubtedly increase my knowledge of the word.

I have previously mentioned that I will be commencing the #cookNigeriachallenge in 2016 as a blog/housewife/Nigerian resolution after I realised the consequence of Igbo soup vs. Yoruba soup. I am sure that will be a learning experience of tremendous value.

So here I am raising a glass to 2015! The year I learnt that fear is a stepping stone to courage. Good things come to those who wait and love is a choice I willing to make.

Until 2016, Dami loves new beginnings.
