Hello friends! Sorry if I’ve been AWOL for a few days. I went away for the long weekend, and I’ve come back with lots of photos! Along with few friends from church, I went to the annual big church day out festival at Winston House! It was a fun packed weekend and I wish I had gone for both days! But alas, we only attended the event on sunday, but it it was enough to whet our appetite and ensure we return next year. Yes! Another road trip is in order!
I was initially apprehensive about driving for 3 hours, but once I got behind wheel well fed and caffeinated, I was good to go. Thank God for good company in the form of my friends! Yes we did talk about boys, but only for little bit.
Upon arrival at the venue, we were astonished by the vast number of people that had turned up to praise God. We hurried in like anxious children, at the park and boy did we have fun!
The timetable was packed with world renowned artists and as soon as we picked a good spot on the grass to set our mats, we began exploring, and in usual style, my adventure led me to food!
This chicken Burrito was amazing. I need say no more.
I promise I had only one crepe; it was filled with nutella and crushed digestive biscuits! Seriously, who comes up with these ideas on stuffing as many calories as you can into one bite.
I was so happy to have my afro out at the festival, along with my feather earrings! Can you tell that I truly got into the spirit of things?
I had so much fun praising God amongst so many people! There is an overwhelming sense of comfort and encouragement when Christians gather and raise voices to God in one accord. One of the acts that I encountered for the first time was Christafari, their music was so uplifting, make sure you check them out!
Yes there was a big church day out gorilla! And he let me take a photo with him!
The star act of the night was Lacrae, who not only performed hit songs from his grammy award winning album, he also shared his story on how he found Christ. He also shares his story in the worldwide outreach production; The Cross do check it out!
Epic final photo of the night was taken whilst Jesus Culture performed. Christians photobomb too you know!
RIP to my sunshades. Let’s have a moment of silence to acknowledge the loss of my sunglasses. Last seen somewhere between the crepe stand and the chip shack. And my cars left fog light that lost it’s home on the ride back.
This was a fun trip with the girls and we’re gonna have to repeat this ladies!
Until next time! You know Dami loves to travel!
